Ayr ‘3 Castles’ Duathlon

Welcome to the support page for the Ayr ‘3 Castles’ Duathlon.
This years event will take place on the 14th April 2019 – Race start 10.00am

This is a fantastic race, organised and supported by Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club and its friendly, enthusiastic members.  This is a race organised by athletes and run for athletes.
Arguably one of the most scenic races in the world! it is noted for the spectacular views over the West Coast of Scotland and takes in 3 ancient, stunning castles and is set in the heart of Burns country.
Historical, scenic and unique – that’s the Ayrodynamic ‘3 Castles’ Duathlon.
Run out and back past Greenan Castle, perched on a sheer cliff, then cycle south along the spectacular Ayrshire coastline. On the journey, if you can lift your head, see ancient Dunure Castle, then sweep down to the turn in view of Culzean Castle, where American Presidents have stayed. If that’s not enough, you also get to pedal down (or ‘up’) the world famous ‘Electric Brae’ where you will have to drop down through your gears to descend!
Finally it’s back over the lovely Carrick Hills and into Rabbie Burns’ own backyard.
